Like it or not, Montana is changing. Some seem to embrace the change and see it as an opportunity for growth, others would rather see this great state remain the same.

No matter what side you fall on, certain places in the state continue to grow and one of those areas growing the most is the city of Bozeman. Once a small college town, Bozeman continues to reinvite itself and has become one of the most popular towns in America.

The more people that move to the area, the more services are required. For the last couple of years, we've known that the rest stop at 19th and I-90 was going to close and now it looks like they've started to demolish the building.

I live on that side of town and I was driving by over the weekend and noticed that the siding was gone as well as the windows and doors. Being such a prime piece of real estate, many have wondered what is going to replace the old rest stop.

What's going to replace the rest stop at 19th and I-90 in Bozeman?

We decided to ask locals what they think or would like to see replace the rest stop and while the answers varied, two answers were more popular than others.

  • Chick-fil-A
  • Town Pump

Bozeman has a Chick-fil-A but it's located on the MSU campus and many find it inconvenient to get to. As far as Town Pump goes, while the location would be perfect, Town Pump has two other stores within just a few blocks of the area.

Other answers/suggestions were another Hotel, another fast food place, Trader Joe's, and a couple of people would like to see the possibility of a larger exchange for traffic.
