Montana Voter Information Pamphlet Is Here to Help You Get Ready to Vote
Whether you’re happy with how things are going in Montana or wish things were different, one of the most powerful things you can do is exercise your right to vote. Make your voice heard. Stand up for what you believe in.
That starts with being informed, and I was glad to find Montana’s 2026 Voter Information Pamphlet waiting in my mailbox. It’s an easy resource to keep, read through, and return to when you’re ready to dig into the issues on the ballot this November.
Life gets busy. There is a lot coming at all of us every day, and sometimes there just isn’t enough room in our brains to keep every detail straight. Having one place to return to when you’re ready to sit down, read, and do your own research is helpful.
Montana Voter Information Pamphlet Explains Statewide Ballot Issues
The 2026 Montana Voter Information Pamphlet includes information about the three qualified statewide ballot issues that will appear on the November 3 General Election ballot.
It explains the proposed changes to the Montana Constitution and state law, along with arguments for and against each ballot issue. Ballot language can sometimes feel overwhelming at first glance, so having something you can read at your own pace is a good place to start.
The guide isn’t there to tell you how to vote. It's there to help you understand what you'll see when it is time to vote.
Montana Voters Can Keep This Election Guide for Research
The Montana Secretary of State’s Office says county election offices will mail one physical copy of the voter information pamphlet to every household with an active, registered voter. Alternative formats will also be available.
Maybe you read through it the day it lands in your mailbox. Maybe it sits on the counter for a little while until you have a moment. Either way, it gives you something solid to come back to as you sort through the issues.
We all have different views and priorities, but I do believe we all have a responsibility to do our own research. Read the voter guide. Look at the arguments. Dig deeper into what matters to you. Don’t let somebody else’s opinion be the only one you hear before making up your own mind.
How to Check Montana Voter Registration and Ballot Information
If your pamphlet hasn’t arrived yet, you can read the Montana voter guide online.
You can also visit VoteMT.gov to check your voter registration, view your sample ballot when available, find your polling place, or track an absentee or mail ballot.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. County election officials are scheduled to mail absentee ballots to registered absentee voters by October 9.
