A lone camper from Belgrade, Dustin Mitchell Kjersem, age 35, has been found deceased north of Big Sky.  The death has been determined a homicide.

Kjersem was discovered in his tent on Saturday the 12th, about two and a half miles up Moose Creek Road.  The person finding him called it in and thought it was a bear attack.

Emergency response included a MT Fish, Wildlife & Parks expert on bears who found no signs of bear activity on the campsite.  That shifted the focus and an autopsy concluded the incident as a murder.
