One of Billings Most Romantic Restaurants Will Say Goodbye 12/23
In Billings, we can only think of a handful of restaurants still operating under the same name for more than two decades, and one of them is sadly closing. Juliano’s last day of service will be December 23, 2023.
Chef Carl Kurokawa is retiring.
After 29 years of delicious fish, seafood, and creative Pan-Asian-American cuisine, the much-loved Billings restaurant will say goodbye. The restaurant's Facebook page shared the news Monday, October 2 in a heartfelt statement thanking Billings for the support after nearly three decades. They also wished Chef Carl well on his next endeavor...
We are thrilled and excited for Chef Carl to start his next chapter....RETIREMENT!!!! He has earned some much needed rest and relaxation after nearly 5 decades in the food business.
National statistics indicate that 60% of all new restaurants fail in the first year and 80% of new restaurants close within 5 years. Juliano’s defied the odds, and they did it well. The romantic restaurant in a former Victorian Home in Downtown Billings has always been recommended for special occasions. It's one of those places we go when we want to celebrate an anniversary, a birthday, a promotion, or Valentine's Day.
Thanks for the memories.
In a time when many restaurants seem quick to blame the lack of staff and “nobody wants to work anymore", Juliano’s shared the opposite,
We have been blessed by the most incredible staff and their contribution to the overall success of the restaurant is unmeasurable. We would not have made it without each and every one of them giving their best to our customers every day.
Comments on their social media post rapidly took off, with dozens of people sharing their memories at Juliano's, thanking them for so many years of great food.
Poorly run, mismanaged fast food restaurants come and go like the wind in Billings, but an establishment like Juliano's is something we can all be sad to see close. We wish everyone at Juliano's the best on whatever comes next.
