Montana Veterans Sound Off on Tim Walz’ Stolen Valor
Veterans all across the US are weighing in and sounding off after several instances of stolen valor are now being uncovered when it comes to Kamala Harris' running mate Tim Walz.
Walz is the Governor of Minnesota and a former Democrat congressman. He is Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate for VP in the presidential race against President Trump and Ohio Senator JD Vance.
Walz served 24 years in the National Guard, but when it came time for him to lead his battalion in Iraq as the command sergeant major- he bailed on his troops. Even though he never served in Iraq or Afghanistan, he has been caught on camera claiming that he carried weapons in war. All this while he was pushing to take away our gun rights, and the freedoms we veterans fought for. He also claimed to be a retired Command Sergeant Major, even though he got busted down in rank.
I was in Camp Shelby, Mississippi when the Minnesota Guardsmen were training up for their Iraq deployment. They had a miserably long deployment. A long train-up in Mississippi followed by being EXTENDED on their tour in Iraq during a very dangerous time.
My friend Adam Gilbertson was one of those guys. He now lives in Montana and is speaking out in a public post on Facebook, as Walz continues to lie about his service.
Here's what he wrote, as he shared this story from The New York Post.
Adam Gilbertson: I served in the same Brigade that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was suppose to deploy with in 2005. CSM Julin was the Brigade CSM during that deployment. He speaks pretty clearly in this article.
As a company commander in a sister battalion, we knew that the Brigade was going to deploy in March of 2005, not May as Tim Walz claimed this week. This deployment was and still is the longest and largest deployment of the MN national guard since World War II. Many Minnesota soldiers were killed and wounded during this deployment.I know if my Battalion CSM had done this to the soldiers in my unit, I would never have spoken to him again.
Tim Walz needs to be held accountable to tell the truth and acknowledge that he did not retire as a CSM and he left his unit when they could have greatly benefited from his years of military experience.
We also took several phone calls on the radio Thursday morning, which you can hear in the below podcast.
