We caught a thief through the radio show today!

Charlie Loveridge had one of his VIP services trucks stolen and called in...and a friend of his heard Montana Talks and later spotted the vehicle.

Background: He was just getting out of the pickup to pick up some trash...that's when some piece of trash decided to steal his rig. But thanks to a phone call to a local radio show- the thief was busted and the vehicle was located.

Charlie Loveridge is the owner of VIP Services. They offer trash pickup and other services across the city of Billings. He called into several Billings radio stations on Tuesday morning to let them know that someone stole one of their company pickups.

One of his crew members was picking up trash in the TJ Maxx parking lot on the Billings West End when someone Charlie believed to be a transient hopped in the pickup and took off.

Charlie tells us thanks to his phone call into the Montana Talks radio show, the pickup was found and the thief was busted!

"We just got our truck back," Charlie texted me Tuesday afternoon. "A friend from high school heard me on the radio and saw it parked out front of his place...No damage. All sorts of footage of the guy and the cops are on their way to pick him up right now as they know where he lives. This was a terrible idea by this guy. He stole from the wrong people."

(That's his operations manager Steven with the truck back safely in the photo above)

"The only reason that my friend from high school knew it was stolen was from me being on your radio program (Montana Talks with Aaron Flint). Thank you for allowing me to do that. I appreciate it greatly."
