Rimrock Mall is Open… Kind of.

Before coronavirus I was not very good at doing gift shopping early, or shopping online. During coronavirus, I am also not very good at online shopping or doing it early. With Mother's Day this weekend, I ventured out for some last-minute shopping at Rimrock Mall yesterday (5/6) afternoon to see if I could find my wife a couple things for Mother's Day.

Rimrock Mall reopened with social distancing guidelines last week. The mall currently has reduced hours, Mon - Sat 11 - 7 and Sun, Noon to 6. On their website they outline what steps they are taking to ensure the health of mall shop employees as well as shoppers.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but let me tell you this: most of the stores are still closed. The food court restaurants are open, as well as a handful of other stores. One of the jewelry stores was open, as were a couple of the sneaker stores. I would guess about 75% of the shops are closed. I didn't take pictures of every store, but here are most of them that were either open or closed as of 5/6.

About 25% of shoppers I noticed were wearing face masks and I would say about the same percentage of employees at the various stores that are open were also wearing a mask. All stores that were open had their social distancing policies posted.
