In a dramatic final vote that occurred at 11:15 p.m. on Monday night, Mike Nugent nobly stepped aside after several locked votes and Jordan Hess was elected by the Missoula City Council to be Missoula’s mayor until the next election.
The process to replace the late Mayor John Engen is moving along to the point where there are now six individuals vying for the seat that will be chosen by the City Council as a whole.
Ward Four Missoula City Councilor Jesse Ramos will not be running for reelection, as he informed KGVO News on Wednesday when asked to comment on the JEDI program update presented to the council during its Committee of the Whole meeting.
