If you're a country music singer, there are a few things that have been on your goals list.

  • Having a successful album
  • Fans that support your music
  • T-shirts with your face on them
  • A tour bus
  • Playing the Grand Ole Opry

Wyoming boy and country music sensation, Chancey Williams, has crossed four of those five goals off his list. The lone item, is playing on the Grand Ole Opry...but it seems our ol buddy will need to add more goals.

Saturday April 22, Chancey will get his first chance to step into the coveted circle on the stage of the legendary Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

How cool is that? Country music legends have stepped on that same stage since 1925. The Opry began as a radio show on radio station WSM and heard all over the country. In the beginning the Orpy was held at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, where it was held until 1974 when it was moved to the new Grand Ole Opry House outside of Nashville.

Country music icons like Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Roy Acuff, Johnny Cash, Reba McEntire, Randy Travis, Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson have all played on the Opry stage.

Hopefully, you're now following why this is such a huge moment for the kid from Moorcroft, WY. To be able to play a show at the Opry is a huge milestone for any artist, but for this Wyoming Cowboy it's a moment that will NEVER be forgotten.

To add to the excitement for Chancey, on March 24th, his brand new album, 'One Of These Day's', will be released.

Chancey's not stopping to smell the roses either. He and the band will be playing shows all over the country on tour. Playing fairs, festivals, honkytonks and rodeos in different parts of the country as well as right here at home in Wyoming. Check out his touring schedule here.

Congratulations, Chancey! Keep on, keepin on.
