19 Year Old Montanan Breaks Down the Anti Trump May Day Protests
Who remembers getting May Day baskets on your doorstep as a kid in Montana? I do. we had some great neighbors who put some cool little baskets of candy together, rang the doorbell, and left em on our doorstep.
But what is May Day really about? And what was up with the May Day anti Trump protests across Montana?
Finley Warden is only 19 years old. He worked on political campaigns here in Montana, and did a great job filling in as our radio producer last week. On Friday morning, we turned the mic over to him and he gave a must-hear recap of the May Day protests. He also delivered an urgent message to the Republicans in Helena who have been voting with the Democrats during the legislative session.
Finley quoted a piece by Laura Hollis at Townhall.com: It's Not Just Antisemitism; It's Marxist Indoctrination
Finley Warden: "All these protests have been showing is really the brain rot that is consuming much of our nation's young people. And as a young person who went to public school in Missoula and who attended U of M and MSU, brain rot, leftist brain rot, really is the best way to describe it. So much of my generation is just absolutely consumed in leftist ideology. And it's a good thing, because if you looked at the last election results, we saw a massive swing from young people moving to Republicans. And I think this is just a general realization from many young people, especially young men- they are absolutely sick of much of this left wing ideology stuff, specifically the stuff around gender."
Finley also pointed out that it was the older "boomers" who propelled the Left to victory in Canada's elections, while the younger demographic supported the conservatives.
What was his message to the GOP legislators who voted with the Democrats in Helena this legislative session?
Finley Warden: "So Republicans, especially in Montana and the Montana Legislature, they need to step up. Because this last election, voting for Trump was many young people's first time voting Republican, maybe the first time voting at all. So this first election, and the results from it will set the tone for whether they'll vote Republican for the rest of their lives or not. So if Republicans are getting elected now and they're not implementing conservative reform, then these young people, there's a good chance they will not vote Republican for the rest of their life."
Full audio with Finley Warden is in the 2nd half of the below podcast.
Finley mentioned the photographs shared by Sam Redfern of the protests in Missoula, here's a few.
