American Legion Post in Roundup, Montana Needs Your Help
The American Legion post in Roundup, Montana is doing some great things for their community, but they don't have a building of their own to operate out of and could use your help.
The exciting news is this- a generous donor has gifted them the land to get a new facility up and running...now they just need to raise the remaining funds to get it up and running.
Lynn Lipps is a member of of American Legion Musselshell Post 18 in Roundup Montana and serves on their building committee.
Lynn Lipps: "We are in desperate need of a building to meet in as we are currently in the basement of a county building. We have 56 members out of approximately 500 possible veterans in our county. Most potential vets don’t join for a lack of a facility. I’m sure you know of the work the legion does such as suicide prevention, flag raisings, funerals, flags at the cemeteries on Memorial Day, Boys and Girls State for students, and welfare and assistance of the community. We have 10 acres and would like to break ground in the spring. We have enough for groundwork to start. We are approximately 250,000 dollars short. Our bake sales and gun raffles help, but our fund grows slowly. We are also submitting grant requests to help fund the building."
Lynn tells us that the Legion post is a 501C3. Your donations can be sent to:
Adjutant Jay Cota, 14 Arapahoe Lane Roundup, MT 59072.
