Billings Teacher Under Investigation for Celebrating Kirk’s Death
***Update posted 2:35 p.m. Wednesday: Here's an official response I received from a spokeswoman for School District 2- "Yes, we are investigating and the teacher has been sent home while we investigate. That is all I can confirm right now."
Original Post from Tuesday Night
A Billings public school teacher is now under investigation after allegedly celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk. A source close to the school district also tells me that the teacher was sent home for the next week or so while the investigation is underway.
I got an email from one of our radio listeners/website readers Tuesday afternoon who told me that she first heard about this story from her daughter, who is in the English Class taught by the teacher. "The screenshots are circulating around the school and my daughter sent it to me. Comments like these are unacceptable from individuals teaching our children," she told me.
Screenshots shared by Cat Holley on X, show the teacher allegedly saying that "Charlie Kirk's death is literally chickens coming home to roost. Rouse me for something worth anyone's time." She then links back to the Skyview High School website listing him as an English teacher.
This info was verified for me by my source close to the school district.
According to his bio on the Skyview High School website, the teacher "currently serves as president of the Montana Forensics Educators Association and chairman of the Montana East National Speech and Debate Association's Committee."
Charlie Kirk, the popular young conservative commentator, was assassinated while hosting a public debate on a college campus. At these events, those who disagree with Kirk are allowed to step up to the microphones first to question or give their comments to Kirk.

I've also sent emails to SD2 administration and to the teacher facing these allegations.
