COP 30 Climate Summit, What Montanans Need to Know
They couldn't use the toilets? They chopped down the rain forest to build a road to their climate summit? And what about all of the failed predictions of the glaciers in Glacier melting? Plus, did Bill Gates do a 180 on climate?
In case you missed it, there has been some great coverage of the COP 30 climate summit in Brazil. Marc Morano of Climate Depot was on Fox News with Laura Ingraham and the great historian Victor Davis Hanson. I was able to catch up with Daniel Turner from Power the Future and get his take on the summit.
But it was the reactions I heard from Montanans in response to this article in the Missoulian blaming your pets for climate change that also stood out to me. Several commenters noted how Bill Gates is all of a sudden throwing cold water on the climate alarmist agenda.
So what is Bill Gates now saying about climate change? According to Fox News, Bill Gates now says climate change "will not lead to humanity’s demise."
I spoke with Daniel Turner from Power the Future recently, following the COP 30 summit. We got his take on the elitist wine and cheese party. I also asked him about a report shared by Evelyn Pyburn of the Big Sky Business Journal showing that the ice is expanding on both the North and South Poles.
Daniel Turner: "Ice levels are at historic highs. And again, we didn't do anything to cause it. We didn't do anything to lead to their decline for a couple of years. We didn't do anything to lead to its increase in a couple of years. It's a lot of hubris to think that our human existence has that much impact on on the planet. Of course, we're good stewards of the earth. I'm a farmer myself, so I always get a little frustrated when people tell me I have to care about land or soil or air or water, because I actually own the stuff, right? I don't need a bunch of urbanites in San Francisco telling me that I have to love the Earth."
