Da Bears! Check Out This Chicago Superfan from Laurel, Montana
Daaaaa Bears. You gotta see this Chicago Bears superfan from Laurel, Montana.
Henry Gilbertson is one of the coolest kids you'll meet. One of these days, we need him to anchor a full sportscast here in Montana.
Henry made it to Soldier Field in Chicago over the weekend, and got to see his Chicago Bears in action. He even made it on LIVE TV! The photos above are great- but check out the video of him on national TV:
The colleges better start recruiting Henry for their fan section NOW.
For those who don't know Henry, he is a 5th grader at Elysian Elementary School. His mom Sarah will tell you that his story starts in Billings, Montana when he was born early at 28 weeks. He weighed only 2 pounds and 1 once when he was born and made it through 3 neonatal intensive care units in Billings, Denver, and Minneapolis. "Such a fighter to be where he is today," his mom Sarah tells us.
As I can personally attest- Henry is one great country music singer on karaoke night too. He can also riddle off practically any current NFL or MLB stat you can think of.
What makes this Chicago Bears superfan moment even better? Henry's dad Adam (who works for RDO Equipment out of Billings, Montana) is a HUGE Minnesota Vikings fan. Henry's mom Sarah is a HUGE Chicago Bears fan. Henry, the smart kid that he is, supports mama's team. Apparently, the Vikings won the game, though. Hopefully they had a rollaway bed at the hotel for dad to use after the game.
Here's some more photos from Henry at the game:
