It's as much of a tradition as turkey on Thanksgiving Day, but why do we watch football after eating a hearty meal?

For the first time in 60 years, Montana State Football is 8-0 to start the season. While that is no doubt exciting for Bobcat fans, there's still lots of work ahead.

These active players have strong connections to Montana. Some went to high school in here, while others spent their college football years in Montana.

Very cool to see the University of Montana's Eli Gillman with Jerry Rice as Gillman received "the Jerry Rice Award." Plus, "the Jimmy Rogers Postulate" and what's behind the success of SDSU.

Girls flag football started as a pilot project in Montana High Schools. Three high schools initially took the ball and ran with it in 2022--- Flathead, Glacier, and Butte. Then, in 2023, Lockwood and Mission fielded teams. The results have apparently been lifechanging for many of these young ladies.

Heartbreak in Bozeman, while the hens got roasted in Missoula. That was definitely a heartbreaker for Bobcat fans at Montana State University in Bozeman- and for those of us who were rooting for another Cat Griz game in Missoula right before Christmas.

Check out that bracket- we could have another Cat Griz football game here in Montana next month. And since The University of Montana Grizzlies came out on top on Saturday, Missoula would get to host the potential playoff matchup.

Will the opposing team's band no longer be able to play at the historic Cat-Griz football games in Bozeman and Missoula? Apparently so.

Visit any store while you're out running errands this week and you'll probably notice a lot more team gear being worn across Montana. At Costco in Billings on Monday, it seemed that a solid 25% of the shoppers I encountered were wearing either Bobcat or Griz shirts, hats, or hoodies. ...
