Within minutes after a failed assassination attempt on the life of President Donald Trump, a former Montana political reporter posted "make America aim again" on social media. The comment was an apparent snipe hoping that the 2024 presidential candidate had been killed by the attackers bullet.

This reporter is no stranger to Montana politics. Ashley Nerbovig, a former Montana Television Network political reporter who lost her job after getting arrested in Missoula, is now working as a reporter in the Seattle area for "The Stranger."  Nerbovig also previously wrote for a liberal blog known as "The Daily Montanan."

Here's a story I posted back in November of 2022 after Nerbovig was arrested on felony burglary charges following a dispute with her ex boyfriend. At her request, we removed the photo of her mugshot after charges were dismissed by local authorities in Missoula. As I noted back then, Nerbovig's reporting was obviously biased in favor of Democrats and liberal judicial candidates at the time in Montana. Nerbovig was actively trying to scrub any online reference to the arrest, and appears to have landed a second chance in journalism at this alt-weekly publication in Seattle. Although now, her profile has already been deleted from the outlets website.

Chase Doak, who was one of the first to photograph the China spy balloon over Billings, Montana says that he used to work with Nerbovig at The Billings Gazette.

LOOK: President Trump Through the Lens

Quite possibly one of the most famous icons in conservative American history, Donald Trump is a caricature we've been watching change the world of politics through business-minded outlooks and prioritizing protecting the American worker.
