From Zero to Hero, Longtime Tesla Owner Weighs in from Anaconda
As someone who stops in Big Timber, Montana to gas up my pickup while I haul my family camper, I've seen folks sitting in their Tesla's waiting to charge their cars. I wonder about those folks today.
What was it like to be a Tesla driver two years ago, and what's it like being a Tesla driver today? Especially after the anti Elon Musk activists are now vandalizing Tesla's and targeting Tesla owners with harassment or straight up domestic terrorism.
I threw that question out over the radio, and this is the beauty of talk radio: Trevor, a longtime Tesla owner from Anaconda, Montana, called in and gave some great insight.
I always despised electric vehicle mandates, but I personally had no problems with EVs or EV owners. My neighbor has a Tesla, and it's cool. My favorite Tesla was the one I spotted in Billings with "Coal Power" on the license plate.
So, how have things changed for Trevor in Anaconda now that Tesla founder Elon Musk is teaming up with President Trump?
Trevor from Anaconda: "The difference from years ago to today is- it's pretty wild. We were early adopters. We had our first one for eight years, and so we experienced all the craziness back when we first switched over to Tesla. We were having people block us at chargers in their diesel trucks, and they're kind of harassing you. And I grew up in oil and gas country and I'm kind of a self proclaimed conservative hippie, so it didn't bother me too much. And I'm a concealed carry permit holder, so there's a few times we've had some interactions, and then- it's wild to see the opposite. Now I'm getting those type of folks asking me questions and talking to me about it, and then those kind of blue haired hippies that- now I need to be carrying and like...carrying because of those folks- it's a pretty wild dynamic change."
