It has truly been a historic season for Montana Tech Basketball.  On the men's side of things, the Diggers are Frontier Conference regular season and tournament champions for the fourth year in a row and the women have been chosen as an at-large selection for the NAIA National Tournament which begins Thursday.  Both teams will be headed to 4-team pods, the men to Santa Clarita, California where they will face first-round opponent Southern Oregon University, and the women to Madison, South Dakota where they will meet Dakota State.  The winners of the pods will advance to the tournament's final site which is Kansas City, Missouri for the men and Sioux City, Iowa for the women.

The teams will leave on Wednesday morning and all Oredigger faculty, staff, students, alumni, fans and faithful are being asked to show up at the HPER to send them off in style.  The women will depart at 8:15am and the men will leave at 10:15am so put on your green and get up there!

Thursday, the teams will get down to business with their first-round games and Montana Tech Alumni and Friends along with Steele's Furniture in Butte is sponsoring a watch party at Butte's Knights of Columbus Hall on Park Street.  The women's game will tipoff at 4:30pm and the men are set for a 6pm start.  Metals Sports Bar and Grill will be serving food and admission is free, but you may want to reserve your spot ahead of time.  Just click here to register, and Go Diggers!
