Malmstrom to Host Popular Actor's Band on Base
Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, Montana is going to be rocking in September. It won't be a new flying mission coming to the base in the Electric City that will be making that noise, however.
Just the same, the cheers and roar from the crowd will be plenty when the 341st FSS hosts popular actor Gary Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band at the base's Grizzly Bend Medal of Honor Park.

Actor Gary Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band will hit the stage at the Medal of Honor Park on Malmstrom Air Force Base at 5pm featuring "everything from rock classics to today’s hits" for those in the crowd.
Sinise, known for his role in the hugely popular "Forrest Gump" movie as Lt. Dan, began the band in 2003 as part of his USO Tours. The band frequently plays at bases across the country and abroad, totaling nearly 600 performances up to June 2025.
The concert is free and open to anyone with base access. The 341st FSS recommends walking for those on base as there will be limited parking for the event. Concert goers can bring a chair for the event, but canopies aren't allowed. For more details, see the event page here.
