Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On September 17, 2025, at 10:27 a.m., the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office sent out a statement in response to a stabbing that occurred the night before. Public Information Officer Jeannette Smith has all of the information. 

“On September 16, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Missoula County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported stabbing in the 14000 block of McFarland Lane in Clinton, Montana,” Smith said. “Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim with multiple stab wounds. He was safely removed from the scene, treated by emergency medical personnel staged nearby, and transported to a local hospital for further care.” 

According to Smith, the suspect was located in a nearby residence.

“After exiting the home, he complied with deputies’ verbal commands and was taken into custody without incident,” Smith said. “The suspect was then transported and booked into Missoula County Detention Facility for Attempted Deliberate Homicide. This remains an active investigation. No additional details are available at this time.”

The suspect was scheduled to appear in Missoula Justice Court on September 17, 2025, but he was pushed to the following day. We will provide more information about this incident when it becomes available.
