"Staff may be armed and will use whatever force necessary to protect students."

Man was it reassuring to enter an event packed full of kids and know that someone was watching their backs. As I walked in another gentlemen heading into the facility also remarked at how glad he was to see the sign.

I've heard great things about Stillwater Christian School in Kalispell, Montana- and that sign as we entered the gym during a recent event only reinforced what I've heard.

I shared the photo on social media and was amazed at how much reaction it got.

I even got a nice not from Matt VanderArk, who is the Upper School principal at Stillwater Christian, thanking me for sharing their sign.

VanderArk: "We are proud to be a Christian school that focuses on Scripture, Character, and service. We believe in a strong Biblical worldview that informs all of our instruction. Security wise. We are not paranoid, but we are prepared for any emergency that may occur."

On the gym wall, they also featured the following "Cougar Athletic Pillars." Glorify God. Pursue Excellence. Compete as one team. Run the race to win. Commit to having a positive attitude. Improve in and out of the season.

Here's some of the comments that came in on social media:

Kerri: "This make so much more sense to me than a big sign advertising “gun free” zone….."
Cole: "Outstanding! That sign should be on the door of every Montana school."

Lacy: "Thankful for a school that takes our children’s safety seriously."
