The Republican Party is united behind Donald Trump, and Tim Sheehy delivered for a national audience as he took the stage to speak at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

That's the word this week as I caught up with several Montanans who are in Milwaukee for the convention.

Don "K" Kaltschmidt, the Chairman of the Montana Republican Party, described what it was like seeing President Trump enter the arena for the first time following the assassination attempt on his life this past weekend. He described the look on President Trump's face as a "face of resolve, of fight, but unifying." He also says that he can sense a shift now taking place.

Don K: "I feel a sense of a shift. I saw like rap stars, you know, supporting Trump. I think the American people, not only rural America which has always been behind Donald Trump- we know that- Montana's...that's why we call it Trumptana, because he's gonna win by 20 points or more. But it looks like the urban people are starting to come around and see that Donald J. Trump and the movement, not just the man, but the movement of the Republican Party is to bring everybody together. That we have people from all walks of life in our party. That we're welcoming you into our party. And it's just about making America great again."

Navy SEAL veteran, aerial firefighter, and Republican US Senate candidate Tim Sheehy had several great lines during his speech at the RNC earlier this week- including this one as he talked about how he and his wife Carmen both served in the military.

Tim Sheehy: "We both fought in our nation's longest war in Afghanistan. I was wounded there, served hundreds of missions there. We came home to live the American dream in Montana. The great state of Montana, I might add. And we started an aerial firefighting company in our barn. We created hundreds of jobs protecting our public lands and protecting fellow Montanans from devastating wildfires. I fight wildfires for a living, so take it from me- the world is on fire under Joe Biden."

On a lighter note, as I was talking with Don K and State Auditor Troy Downing Wednesday AM from Milwaukee...I gave them a mission- should they so choose to accept it: We need a Laverne & Shirley video!

LOOKS: Things you'd likely see in an awesomely '80s garage

From scandalous bikini calendars to your dad's AMC Gremlin, '80s garages were a treasure trove of adventure, good fun, and sometimes downright danger.
