New Info Confirms Reporting on China Spy Balloon 2nd Anniversary
The UK Daily Mail just had a report featuring what they described as "shocking" new information regarding the China spy balloon that hovered over Montana almost exactly two years ago.
Here's what I found interesting: they interviewed the former commander of NORAD (the North American Aerospace Defense Command) who basically told them that other agencies in the US government were aware that a Chinese spy balloon had entered US airspace, and noone bothered to tell him until late in the game.
(Remember how the Biden Administration then allowed that spy balloon to hover over Montana and fly all across the United States?)
Larry Mayer, the Billings Gazette photographer whose photo of the spy balloon over Montana went viral and broke the story wide open, says the reporting also confirms everything he had been reporting two years ago. This, even though he says he was intimidated by folks in the Biden Defense Department over his reporting.
He then read an email he got at the time.
Larry Mayer: "It says- 'If you do not substantially change the story today, specifically rewriting the opening paragraphs and the headline, the Department of Defense will issue a statement saying that your papers reporting on this issue is inaccurate. Given the role that your paper and your city have played in this national event, I prefer that you correct the reporting to help people in Montana and elsewhere know the facts that can help them understand recent events."
Here's the full audio of our chat with Larry Mayer. It can be found in the 2nd half of the podcast. Becky Hillier, featured in the photo above, joined us in the first half. And by the way- the puzzle of Larry's incredible Yellowstone photo can be purchased through the Western Heritage Center in Billings.
