Our young producer Caden says I have now officially ruined this song for him. Plus, my daughter says the song is already played out anyway (ha). Whenever I hear this pop song APT by Rose' and Bruno Mars...all I hear is "Get Patel Confirmed."

I'm talking, of course, about President Trump's pick to run the FBI- Kash Patel. We need the competence of Kash to run the FBI, especially with all the "blinking lights" - threats- facing this country right now.

Montana Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) says Kash will get confirmed. More on that story below, and the senator's reaction to the return of American Marc Fogel from a Russian prison...but first- here's the song I referenced when I said, all I hear is "Get Patel Confirmed."

Did you hear what I heard get Patel confirmed? Ha...

It will happen.

Senator Steve Daines: "Kash is going to get through. The Democrats were able, with the procedural move on the Judiciary Committee to delay that by one week, but that's going to move forward. And the good news, Aaron, is we're batting 1000 here in supporting President Trump's nominees- getting them actually confirmed and sworn in. We are far, far ahead of anywhere we've been with with the presidents in the past decade of getting Cabinet nominees through and sworn in, well ahead two to three times better we've had in the past. Of course, you saw Tulsi Gabbard got her confirmation done yesterday, and we're doing RFK, Jr. here this morning (Thurs), we'll be doing Kelly Lefler at SBA, as well as Brooks Rollins and his Secretary of Agriculture...the bottom line is, what we're doing is- we're locking arms as Republicans unified and saying, look, we can do this the hard way or the easy way, and we're not blinking, and we're forcing the Democrats- I mean, literally last night, they were up all night, screaming and so forth and shouting while the Senate clock was ticking, which needs to do to get these nominees to as quickly as possible. But Kash will be moving forward here next week, and just really proud of the team sticking together, getting these nominees across the cross finish line."

On the return of American Marc Fogel from that Russian prison, Senator Daines called it a "joyful moment:"

Senator Daines: "My role here was connection to his sister and Missoula. They've got a ranch there in southwest and western Montana. But the bottom line is, President Trump did in three weeks what Biden couldn't do in four years. We've been calling for his release for years. Marc Fogel was a teacher in Moscow, Russia to students who were sons and daughters of diplomats and other Americans working in Moscow, and he was wrongfully detained. I can tell you, you know, trying to work with Secretary Blinken under the Biden administration- was banging their head against the wall. And look, you have an election. President Trump's in the Oval Office, Marco Rubio- Secretary of State, Steve Witkopf, who was one of Trump's closest friends. They behind the scenes get this deal done and Marc Fogel's back on American soil, and what a joyful reunion for Marc and his family."
