Report: Billings Teacher “Re-Assigned” After Hateful Kirk Comments
These people would publish a cop's name in a heartbeat, but look at how quickly they shield a Billings teacher who celebrated the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
That was my reaction when I saw the news Wednesday morning that basically confirmed what we already told you several days ago.
According to reports from KTVQ-TV and the Billings Gazette, the Billings teacher who was under investigation for his hateful, bigoted remarks following the assassination of Charlie Kirk has now been re-assigned. The Billings Gazette refused to name the teacher, and the reporter for Q2 was apparently not allowed to report the name of the teacher either.
But you know whose name the Gazette did publish? Mine. And the name of Cat in Eastern Montana who first broke the news about this teacher allegedly celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk. This, despite the fact that death threats were publicly leveled against Cat and any of us who were sharing her updates on this case.
For the record, I have no problem with the Gazette mentioning my name. I'm on the radio. And I know law enforcement was alerted to these death threats. But isn't it interesting that the Gazette, once again, didn't bother to cover this story initially...but now they cover for the person who celebrated this assassination? And they say they aren't reporting his name because of "harassment," yet they'll publish YOUR name in the midst of death threats.
