Montana's newly elected Senator Tim Sheehy (R-MT) left a lot behind to serve in the US Senate and try and tackle the nation's problems, so you can understand his frustration when work grinds to a halt.

The Navy SEAL veteran lashed out at the "Stupid Schumer Shutdown" during a live interview on CNN.

He added this in a post on X:

Republicans have voted eight times to reopen the government and get back to work for hardworking Americans, while Schumer and the Democrats keep the government closed. The Stupid Schumer Shutdown is nothing more than political theater to appease far-left radicals.

Speaking of the Stupid Schumer Shutdown...at least President Trump is making sure the troops will still get paid.

Here's what Navy SEAL Congressman Ryan Zinke (R-MT) had to say in a press release Wednesday morning:

Rep. Zinke: "As a former SEAL Commander, I can tell you, you don’t mess with a junior enlisted’s pay or a military family’s livelihood. Our troops put everything on the line for this country, and the least our government can do is make sure they get paid on time. House Republicans voted weeks ago to keep the government open and fund our military. Senate Democrats blocked it for political leverage, forcing President Trump to step in and do the job they refused to do. The men and women who wear the uniform should never be used as pawns in Washington’s political games. It’s time for Senate Democrats to put America first, end the obstruction, and join us in funding the government responsibly.”
