Sheehy Leading in Montana, Issues Debate Challenge to Tester

Montana's GOP Senate candidate Tim Sheehy is challenging Democrat Senator Jon Tester to several more debates. This, after the latest credible poll shows Navy SEAL veteran Tim Sheehy (R-MT) widening his lead over Tester (D-MT) by 6 points.

Sheehy had a dominating performance over Tester back in their first, and so far only, debate back in June during the Montana Broadcasters Association convention.

Sheehy is now challenging Tester to accept three additional debates, including a statewide radio debate that could be hosted by various local commercial radio hosts, including our Montana Talks statewide radio show.

The Sheehy campaign is also offering up these two additional debates:

(1)   Statewide television debate hosted by NonStop Local on Thursday, September 26

(2)   Statewide radio, print, and television debate hosted by Montana PBS, Lee Newspapers, Yellowstone Public Radio, and Montana Public Radio on Monday, September 30

As for debates, Jon Tester has never been willing to join local radio shows like mine, the Breakfast Flakes with Mark and Paul on Cat Country in Billings, or even Peter Christian with KGVO radio in Missoula. If Tester is too afraid to take questions from me, I've even offered up a platform where all he does is take questions from callers all across Montana.

Just over a week ago, Sheehy was rallying alongside President Trump at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman. The latest poll by the NonStop Local TV stations shows Sheehy with a 6 point lead over Tester. An Emerson College/The Hill poll previously showed Sheehy up by two.
