Silence from Montana Sup Co Justices After Violent Rhetoric

Sounds like nothing but silence out of the Left wing majority running the Montana Supreme Court. This, after one of their own celebrated the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump.

"No thoughts and prayers from me" wrote former Montana Supreme Court Justice Jim Nelson, who is still cited as some sort of expert opinion by the current liberal majority on the court. Nelson is also frequently published by newspapers and online blogs here in Montana, but I couldn't believe the Missoula Current (run by a former MT Democrat party spokesman) actually published his latest column.

Here's part of what Nelson wrote, as Kyle Schmauch reported via X.com: "Former MT Supreme Court Justice James Nelson on the attempted Trump assassination: 'Trump’s chickens were finally coming home to roost...finally reaping what he had sown' 'no thoughts and prayers from me...know that being shot at was the blow-back from the bad karma"

Schmauch added, "Our current Montana Supreme Court still upholds and refuses to reevaluate partisan hackjob decisions that were authored by this violence-endorsing nut."

Has the Montana Supreme Court publicly condemned Nelson's rhetoric?

Cory Swanson is running for Chief Justice on the Montana Supreme Court and had the courage to call Nelson out. In an op ed of his own, Swanson says, "This is a time for justice, not vengeance, and we should all say a prayer for our country and our people."

Swanson also called out his opponent in the race for refusing to condemn Nelson's violent rhetoric. 

Cory Swanson: "So while I’m shocked and dismayed that former Justice Nelson is celebrating Trump’s near death, I’m more shocked that my opponent Jeremiah Lynch has accepted Nelson’s support and failed to condemn these inexcusable statements. Lynch owes Montanans an explanation of what type of Chief Justice he truly hopes to be."

Montana's House Majority Leader Sue Vinton (R-Billings) added this about former Justice Nelson, "This is not the first time that this former Justice has spewed hateful rhetoric. What a sad and bitter person he must be!"

Speaker of the House Matt Regier (R-Kalispell) pointed out how influential Nelson is with the current majority on the Montana Supreme Court in an op ed for The Daily Inter Lake.

Speaker Regier: "Even worse, a majority of the Montana Supreme Court judges are also aligned with the same political agenda. The Supreme Court judges consistently sabotage the process and Montana law, erroneously ruling in line with their Democrat doctrines, such as their support for unlimited abortion, disgust for voter integrity laws and radical views on global warming."
