Here at Townsquare Media, we're always helping out members of our community. This time, it's one of our own that could use a little assistance after their family lost everything in a house fire earlier this week.

If you're a fan of winter and all the activities and festivities that go along with it, then you'll love what organizers in Butte-Silver Bow County have planned for the community over the holiday break! Happening December 21st through the 23rd and then again December 26th through the 30th, the Butte-Silver Bow Parks and Recreation Department and the Butte Amateur Hockey Association are making it possible for family and friends to enjoy FREE skating and skate rentals at the Butte Community Ice Center (1700 Wall Street). All ages are welcome to get in on the action! Hours of operation for the FREE eight-day skating excursion are 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

To compile the list they analyze over 1,000 small to mid-sized towns and consider factors like safety, affordability, economic stability, outdoor recreation, accessibility, and community engagement.

Many of us have been surrounded by a time of uncertainty the past few months, but the goal is still the same for the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation.

They will be distributing 50,000 pounds of locally grown potatoes and 10,000 pounds of ground beef to anyone who comes.
