The Under the Big Sky Festival in Montana is one of the best music festivals in the country. Here are a few of my favorite performances from this year.

The Under the Big Sky Festival will take place in July in Whitefish, Montana.

Honestly, this is a perfect Montana camping spot.

The state does have a presence at this years Summer Games, with 3 Montanans making their way to Tokyo. Ali Weisz (Belgrade), Nicole Heavirland (Whitefish), and Nick Mowrer (Butte) are representing the Treasure State, with Mowrer returning after participating in the 2012 games.

The Under the Big Sky Festival felt like an unofficial, official return of live music.

The upcoming games feature a couple stories of Montanans living out their dreams to play for their country.

"I think Montanans know that our country's in peril...it's gonna be a lot of effort to get DC back on track. And, look, I have a track record of getting things done. I don't like the swamp, but I love my country- and the Montana voice needs to be heard."
