Now that we're a few days into winter's first real snowfall we may be getting used to driving on snowy roads once again. Of course, winter driving requires a little extra attention to your surroundings and conditions, but it doesn't have to be a dance with danger every time you leave your house.
Much of Montana is experiencing its first major snowstorm of the season, and people are already taking to social media to complain about the lack of snow plow drivers on the road. Winters in Montana can be extremely harsh, and the state is currently dealing with a shortage of snow plow drivers...
The Montana Department of Transportation will reassess the conditions over the weekend (the pass will likely reopen by Monday). Beartooth Highway typically closes for the season in mid-October.
