You've probably seen him on Netflix, the Huckabee show, or maybe even in one of the big comedy clubs like the Laugh Factory- but man was it incredible to see Bobby Henline, "The Well Done Comedian," in Billings, Montana.

Henline was a staff sergeant in the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division when his Humvee got hit by an IED back in 2007. He had burns over 40% of his body. As he fought through the pain and the treatment at Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas, he was already joking with fellow wounded soldiers and throwing the nurses into headlocks.

I had the honor of serving as the emcee for a banquet on Saturday night benefitting the Adaptive Performance Center, the first of it's kind veterans only gym in the country. They also now have a location in Helena. Their mission is to combat veterans suicide through physical fitness and camaraderie.

APC: We live by the motto “move your body, heal your mind” and we use physical fitness to improve PTSD, limit depression, and lessen anxiety.

Henline was the keynote speaker. He brought people to tears. He, of course, brought out a lot of laughs (see a sample of his comedy below).

I thought his message about veterans contemplating suicide was incredibly powerful. Especially when he showed the photo of him holding one of his newborn baby granddaughters.

He said some veterans wrongly think they are a burden on others, and that is why they contemplate suicide. He said that moment alone, holding his granddaughter, was worth fighting through all of the pain and all of the treatments and being there for his family.

If you have an organization here in Montana that is looking to bring in a speaker, you should definitely see if you can bring him back to Montana. Also, if you know of a veteran who has committed suicide, or if you want to get more involved in Bobby Henline's work- check out his "Forging Forward" foundation by clicking here.
