The Left wing operatives infiltrating & inciting protesters, Nancy Pelosi denying National Guard troops to defend the capitol- everything we told you back then on the radio and on Twitter here in Montana was just backed up once again by the former chief of the US Capitol Police.

For those of you that listen to our statewide radio show in places like Plentywood and Missoula...coming up on Labor Day we will have a special "best of" program for Montana Talks. Included in the statewide show will be some highlights from the Western Congressional Caucus summit in Whitefish last week.

You'll also get a chance to hear my chat with former US Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund. We talked about the crime in Washington, DC and what President Trump is doing to make our nation's capital great again. You'll also hear the real story about January 6th from the guy who was the chief of the capitol police that day.

That will be coming up statewide on Labor Day from 9-10 a.m. Click here for a station listing or listen on the Montana Talks app.

Here's a quick snippet focused on the crime in DC, and how President Trump is bringing in federal reinforcements to tackle the issue. (And isn't it interesting that Nancy Pelosi, the same woman who refused National Guard troops to secure the capitol on J6, is attacking Trump for bringing in the National Guard to protect DC?)

Chief Sund: "I spent 25 years on the streets of Washington, DC. I've apprehended homicide suspects. I've gone to the most heinous crimes you can imagine, I've been shot at on the streets. These people that are complaining about this initiative have- they're just detached from reality. We've done these type of initiatives before. We've done Safe Streets. We've done summer crime initiatives where we bring in federal resources, our partners- FBI, ATF, DEA, everyone has their role. We bring in the National Guard to help light neighborhoods so kids can play. It's stuff that's been done before, but because this is being invoked by President Trump- it's now, it's all bad. The citizens- I talk to residents of DC. I talk to DC cops regularly, still. They appreciate- the DC cops appreciate the support. They're 800 officers short. And the citizens, and especially the citizens in the high crime areas, they greatly appreciate the support. So it's sad that people's lives and safety are being politicized."
