I just thought it was an early morning radio guy thing, but apparently it is an old guy thing. If you send us a text after 9 p.m., expect to get a reply at about 4:30 in the morning.

Check out the hilarious post below by State Senator Barry Usher (R-Billings).

"I'M AT THE AGE WHERE IF YOU TEXT ME AFTER 9PM

I'M TEXTING BACK AT 4:36 AM"

I had to immediately share this post by Barry. I work in talk radio. I like to talk about the biggest stories of the day, so that means I may reach out to somebody very early in the morning to see if they want to join us on the radio or send me info. Likewise, other people may reach out to us for some late breaking information. If you send me a text later in the evening, don't be surprised if I reply around 4:30 in the morning.

Here's some tips if you're one of the folks who get woken up or irritated by an early morning text message.

First off, you're probably better off emailing if you don't want a text message rolling in hot at zero dark thirty. Second off, you can set "do not disturb" settings on your smart phone so that your notifications don't wake you up in the middle of the night. At least on my phone you can still set your favorite contacts so that important family or work phone calls can still come in 24/7.

Apparently it's not just the dudes. The ladies had the same response.

Christy: "I'm not that old yet.... hahahahaha maybe 5:52"

Rose: "&I do" along with several laughter emojis

Stephanie: "Same!"

Pamela: "This is absolutely me"
