Who wins the award for biggest FAIL of the week? Pocahontas. Elizabeth Warren. The woman who lied about being Native American, and yet still serves as a US Senator. She had the nerve to attack fellow Iraq/Afghan vet Pete Hegseth. Let's just say- it didn't end well.

President Trump announced that he is selecting Pete Hegseth to serve as the Secretary of Defense (SECDEF). As an Iraq/Afghanistan veteran myself, I am happy to see "one of us" (a younger Iraq/ Afghan vet) selected to lead our nation's military.

Pete Hegseth is an infantryman with two bronze stars and a combat infantryman badge. He's also the weekend host of Fox & Friends on Fox News. America has gotten to see exactly what Pete is all about. He's not just somebody who fought for freedom overseas, he has fought for his fellow veterans and economic freedoms ever since he got home.

I got to meet Pete while I served as the emcee for a veterans organization banquet here in Montana back in 2019. He's the real deal. Looks like Pete was just back in Montana this summer, too.

Montana Congressman, former Trump Interior Secretary, and retired Navy SEAL Commander Ryan Zinke (R-MT01) is calling Hegseth "a solid pick for DOD."

Rep. Zinke: "He served honorably in combat and dedicated his post-Army career to advancing policy priorities for vets. I have no doubt he will build a team around him that knows the levers to pull at the DOD to execute the mission and policy effectively and return our military to the point where we prioritize warfighting over culture wars, improve recruitment, retention and morale, and give the military what they need to win decisively on the field of battle should duty call. I hope he overhauls the procurement process that leaves our warfighters competing with generations-old technology and gets rid of scores of unnecessary bureaucrats. Bravo Zulu, Pete. I look forward to working with you."
