$125 Million: HUGE News for Glendive, Ammo Manufacturer Coming

This is huge news for Glendive and Eastern Montana. An ammo manufacturing business is setting up shop in Glendive with a $125 million investment that should eventually lead to 350 good paying jobs in Montana. I spoke with the company's CEO Thursday.

Andy Mansoor is the CEO of Brixtel Defense. They build ammo for our nation's military and her allies. They make ammo anywhere from 9 mm to 50 cal.

Montana Governor Greg Gianforte (R-MT) announced the news Wednesday from Glendive.

In a press release announcing the news, Brixtel Defense CEO Andy Mansoor highlighted the patriotic workforce in Eastern Montana.

I first met Mansoor last summer at the Montana Chamber's Governor's Cup events in Kalispell. He told me back then how his company was eyeing Eastern Montana for a facility- so this was great to hear the news actually coming to fruition. He joined us Thursday morning on the show from Glendive, while Brixtel was hosting a job fair at the Glendive Chamber.

Why Eastern Montana?

Andy Mansoor: We want to make an impact in the community. We want to be the Good Samaritan and a good citizen, and eastern Montana is just beautiful, it's vast. People are very welcoming across the state, but Eastern Montana is just not any different from that. And we felt we could have the largest impact in here, over here in this part of the state...Eastern Montana is very excited for us and it's very heartfelt and heartwarming for us to see that that we are going to make an impact on people's lives.
