
Honduran Arrested After Slamming Into Billings Police Vehicle
*Originally published 8/23/25 Update from BPD: The Officer did receive minor injuries but is back to work. The jail roster also shows that Cuellar is now on a federal detainer/immigration hold.
A Honduran man was arrested after slamming into a Billings Police Department patrol car in the early morning hours of Friday night/Saturday morning. Looking at the photo of the aftermath, we sure hope the officer/officers are okay. (Thanks to the Billings Gazette's Larry Mayer for permission to use the above photo)
Here's the details from the Billings Police Department shared on social media Saturday morning.
Accident Investigation: At approximately 0212 hours a BPD patrol car was involved in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Ave C and 10th St West. Two occupants fled on foot from the crash. Both were apprehended. Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors to the crash. Yohan Cuellar (22 years old) of Honduras, was arrested on related charges. Sgt. Sutton
As of Saturday night, Cuellar is currently listed on the Yellowstone County Detention Facility jail inmate roster on the following charges: Obstructing A Peace Officer Or Other Public Servant, Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol and or Drugs - 1st Offense, and felony Criminal Endangerment.
