Inaugural Bluegrass Festival This Weekend In Twin Bridges Montana

This brand-new event will be held at the Madison County Fairgrounds in Twin Bridges. Gates will open Thursday morning (June 28^th) at 8:00 am for camping, and the music will start on Friday.

Let’s start Thursday and discuss the camping. The fairgrounds have ample space for both RV and tent camping. If you want to hook up a camper, there are electrical services available on a first-come, first-served basis, so get there early Thursday.

The Festival will officially get underway Friday afternoon with the first band scheduled to take the stage at 1:00 pm. The entire festival will be held inside the 10,000-square-foot log pavilion, so mother nature won’t be a factor. The music will run Friday from 1- 9pm, Saturday from Noon – 9pm, and Sunday from 10 am- 3 pm.

Now let’s get to the bands. There are twelve total acts scheduled to perform in Twin Bridges over the three days of the Festival. Acts from Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, and beyond.

The Kentucky Sky Bluegrass Band bring their traditional Bluegrass sound to us from Idaho.

Also performing this weekend will be, Lochwood, the Low Water String Band out of Lander, Wyoming, Montana Standard, the Oly Mountain Boys out of Olympia, Washington, and Runaway Train from the Puget Sound area of Washington.

Also scheduled to play will be the DeGroot Band, 93 North, Prairie Wildfire, Mountain Strings, the Dillon Junior Fiddlers, and the Music Bachs.

Twelve bands, three full days of live Bluegrass, and that isn’t all. There will be a horseshoe tournament on Saturday morning, there will be a quilting and sewing room, that will have the music played in the building, so you won’t miss a thing. There will be craft vendors, as well as some great food/drink vendors as well.
