TRIGGER WARNING: I WILL BE WRITING ABOUT OUT-OF-STATERS MOVING TO MONTANA.

I wanted to disclaim it for those lifelong Montanans who don't like to think about the flood of out-of-staters invading their state.

For those of you lifelong Montanans, what would you guess would be "culture shocks" for those moving into Montana? The mountains? The people? The sheer size of the Treasure State? The fact that Brad Pitt isn't always fly fishing in a river or Kevin Costner doesn't kill people on a ranch?

An individual on the social media page Reddit took to Montana's page to ask "Those who moved to Montana from out of state: what were your culture shocks?"

Here are some of the best responses:

Roads/Driving: "The lack of stop signs at so many 4 way intersections is an interesting one." -u/TaskTitan

"My sister and I were blown away how the cars would stop for you when crossing the street, even if you were crossing in the middle of the block." -u/AbuDhabiBabyBoy

"People using turn signals as they turn, not beforehand" -u/peen_chay_way

"How long drives are normal here." -u/Depressed_Dreamer13

Store Combinations: "Casinos at gas stations" -u/fireandping

The people: "What struck me... was when I was at the Butte Buttrey's and struck up a conversation with the cashier and we started chatting about moving here. There were four people in line behind me in line and not only did they not start b****ing about the hold up, they joined in the conversation." -u/JaYoungSage

"Montana hits different insofar as people, generally speaking, don't have anything to prove and will do a good job of meeting you where you're at --and they do so with kindness and are always looking to connect over common ground." -flanneled_man

The Nature: "How much the city [Missoula] embraces the river." -u/thirdshift_

"I came from the desert and I was not prepared for the amount of mosquitos there would be.' -u/Withak19

"LOL I'm from Minnesota and the death of mosquitoes here compared to where I'm from is a blessing." -u/Xtal

"People leaving their cars running while shopping when it's cold. I get it, but still." -u/sg425

"I've cut more checks in the 15 years living in rural Montana" -u/snachodog
