New Judge Selected to Replace Moses in Yellowstone County
A patriot will now replace a tyrant on the bench. That was my reaction when I saw who Montana Governor Greg Gianforte (R-MT) has now selected to replace the outgoing liberal Judge Mike Moses in Yellowstone County.
In case you missed it, Governor Gianforte selected Billings attorney Thomas Pardy to fill the seat being vacated by Judge Michael Moses in the 13th Judicial District. Moses is set to step down in about one month on July 1st.
Thomas Pardy is a great guy, a patriot who served our country as an infantryman in the Montana Army National Guard.
Moses is the partisan liberal judge who has been abusing his power on the bench to push his personal political agenda when it comes to transgender birth certificates, undermining election integrity measures, and for ruling on behalf of the very Democrat dark money groups that helped get him on the bench. He's also the same judge who went soft on a woman who shot a Billings police officer this year, and attempted to kill several others.
Moses was appointed to the bench by former Democrat Gov. Steve Bullock (D-MT)- a failed Democrat presidential candidate who also lost big in the US Senate race to Montana Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) in the closely watched 2020 election.
Governor Gianforte highlighted the fairness and respect for the law that he believes Pardy will bring to the bench.
Gov. Gianforte: Thomas is an accomplished attorney who is committed to the fair, consistent, and objective application of the law and who will interpret laws, not make them from the bench. I look forward to his service to the people of Yellowstone County on the Thirteenth Judicial District Court.
According to the Governor's office, Pardy graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1998. Pardy has run his own practice, Pardy Law Firm, P.C., for 8 years, and served as Billings Deputy City Attorney since 2015.
