From Kerrie in Frannie, Wyoming to Mary in Butte...and Congressman Ryan Zinke flying from Kalispell...there were some incredible photos being shared of the Northern Lights over Montana and Wyoming Tuesday night. I really enjoyed the photos shared by Fairmont Hot Springs.

The Butte-Anaconda area resort added, "No filter needed for these stunning images over the pool tonight. Thank you Dakota Stark for capturing these."

I was on the ground in Kalispell, and it was a little cloudy and foggy so the Northern Lights appeared more like cool, green clouds from my neck of the woods.

But check out the view Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke (R-MT01) had from up above. "At least we got a show on the way back to DC! I’m hearing there’s amazing views across Montana right now! Get outside!," he shared as he was on his way back to DC to vote to end the shutdown of the federal government. In an earlier post, he added this about the shutdown: "Back to DC to vote on final passage to reopen the government. It should have never been shutdown in the first place. I gladly voted in September to avoid it and am voting tomorrow to end it. A sincere thank you to all our federal workers who showed up every day despite going without pay. You deserve better."

Even Billings got an incredible show of the Northern Lights. Becky Hillier, who joins me every Freedom Friday on the radio said she has never seen the Northern Lights like this before. "We can actually see them bright and beautiful with the naked eye. No enhancement! And what makes it even better, the red sky complements our American flag on this Veterans Day!"
