This calendar was cool before...but now they added law enforcement K9's to the photo shoot? Seriously, this has to be the coolest Montana calendar for 2023.

The Mason Moore Foundation was started in honor of the late Broadwater County Sheriff's Deputy Mason Moore, who was killed in the line of duty back in 2017. Since the foundation was created, they have raised money to provide life saving equipment for law enforcement officers across Montana.

One of their big fundraisers has become their annual calendar, which is out now for 2023.

Billings Police Officer Brandon Ihde has been helping to support the Mason Moore Foundation. He dropped by our radio studios before Thanksgiving so we could check out the new calendar. This thing is awesome. The photos are incredible.

Each month features a different law enforcement officer- police, sheriff, or highway patrol across the state. This time, each photo features the officer along with the K9 who has got their back, and each photo also has local scenery or landmarks that show the unique characteristics of their local community.

For example, the Laurel Police Department photo for one of the months features a local police officer and his trusty K9. And since it is Laurel, there of course is a locomotive in the background. It also has the stats listed for each K9 showing how many dangerous drugs they've taken off the streets. It reads like a baseball card.

If you want to get your hands on a calendar, here's how Officer Ihde says you can get a hold of one:

Calendars are $15 and available at www.masonmoorefoundation.com or locally (Billings) at Connolly Saddlery Western Wear & Tack at 485 S 24th St W, through myself, and via Deputy Travis Manning in Roundup and Deputy Dan Wildin in Red Lodge.
