Big Update: They Caught a Predator, Fed Employee in Montana

Did they catch a predator in Laurel, Montana? We featured that story involving a federal employee back in February. And now we have a big update.

This story busted out on social media when Alex Rosen (@Ifightforkids) shared the below video on X. In the video/tweet he said that they just busted a federal employee "going after a 13-year-old. He is the head of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (@OSHA_DOL) in 5 states."

Back in February, Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder told me that deputies responded, conducted an investigation, and would be forwarding their info to the county attorney.

Now, Yellowstone County Attorney Scott Twito tells me that charges have been filed, and the Attorney General's office will lead the prosecution of the case.

According to charging documents, "On or about between November 7, 2024 and February 11, 2025, the Defendant, Ross Yeager, knowingly by means of electronic communication, persuaded, enticed, counseled, encouraged, and directed a child he believed to be a child under 16 years of age to engage in sexual conduct, or view sexually explicit material for the purpose of inducing or persuading a child to participate in any sexual activity. Because the alleged victim was believed to be less than 16 years of age, pursuant to 45-5-625(2)(b), if convicted, the Defendant shall be sentenced by life imprisonment or by imprisonment in the state prison for a term of not less than 4 years or more than 100 years and may be fined not more than $10,000."

In February of 2025, a report was made regarding communications between Ross Yeager of a sexual nature and a decoy female named "Haley" that Yeager believed was 13 years old.
The decoy female was part of a group called Predator Poachers out of the State of Texas, named Sabrina Ajack. The founder, Alex Rosen, and this group conduct undercover investigations where they create fake social media accounts and pose online as minor children.
The information showed that Yeager was a member of a Facebook group called, "Older Men Who Like to Talk to Younger Girls" "Haley" sent Yeager a friend request over Facebook. On November 7, 2024, Yeager initiated a conversation with "Haley" after accepting the friend request.
