WATCH: 70 Mile Long Freedom Convoy At Washington DC
The 70 Mile Long ‘People’s Convoy’ will descend on Washington, DC this SATURDAY.
Thousands of vehicles are geared up for the final stretch.
The convoy, or rather convoys, began on the west coast of the United States and took every interstate heading east.
In these videos you'll see drone footage of the miles-long line just outside the beltway of DC, ready to move in.
The convoy has not received as much media coverage as they hoped, partly because the news media seems to think that Ukraine is the only story currently happening on planet Earth. But they have also been reluctant to cover the convoy.
The Freedom Convoy has been trying to meet with members of congress.
8 Mar 7:04pm EST: Convoy livestreamer WYSIWYG just shared that he almost didn’t get allowed into today’s meeting in Washington, DC between The People’s Convoy organizers and US Congress members Ted Cruz and Ron Johnson. Apparently, mainstream media initially had to report on what was said in the meeting based on WYSiWYG’s stream. They were let in towards the end of the meeting. You can watch it on our live convoy videos page or directly here. (WEPATRIOT).
It began with a push to show support for the Canadian truckers who parked around the capital in Canada.
Some have the mistaken impression that, with the COVID mandates slowing coming to an end, there is no reason for the convoy.
But to the truckers, it's about a lot more than that one issue.
During those rare moments when someone from the news media actually asked truckers why they were doing this, the response is about the freedom for Americans to make their own choices. They will tell you we are not a country that allows the government mandates.
Tens of thousands of American Truckers from across the country have reached DC and plan, on Saturday, to drive through the city in a show of protest of how the government has restricted Americans’ constitutional rights.
‘The People’s Convoy,’ merged with another massive group when it arrived at its final rest stop in Hagerstown, Maryland, which is just 75 miles (90 minutes) away from the nation’s capital.
The convoy is now well over 10,000 vehicles long, including thousands of trucks. There are so many participants in the caravan that it has taken over three hours for them to get off the highway, and there is still no end in sight.
8 Mar 9:21pm EST: Brian Brase addressed The People’s Convoy tonight in Hagerstown, Maryland. He said the first meeting, with Sens. Cruz and Johnson, went very well. And that the second meeting presented a greater challenge, because the lawmakers present didn’t really want the meeting to be recorded by livestreamers friendly to the convoy. Thank you WYSIWYG, and all other streamers, for your work today. (WEPATRIOT).
