A long time ago, in a town not terribly far away (Helena..) Peter Christian (aka Pete Wall) was about 15 years old and in a rock band with three friends called The Dark Side (no, this was long before Darth Vader and Star Wars).

The Dark Side band won several 'Battle of the Bands' competitions in Helena from 1968 to 1971..but the guys graduated, left town and the Dark Side went...well..dark.

Until 2019, when the the four founding members of the band, Tom Hanson, Michael Knight, Rick Pyfer and the aforementioned Peter, decided to get together to celebrate the Helena High School graduating class of 1969 with a grand concert at the Helena Civic Center, but COVID cancelled those plans...until this week.

The Dark Side is indeed getting the band back together and everyone from Helena High or Helena Central who graduated from 1969, 1970 and 1971 is invited to the Helena Civic Center on Friday night, September 10 from 8:00 p.m. till midnight for some great old-time rock and roll, food, beverages, games and fun as a fundraiser for the Helena YMCA.

Admission will is a $10 minimum suggested donation at the door.

So, come and rock with The Dark Side band this Friday night from 8:00 p.m. till midnight at the Helena Civic Center!
