Southwest Montana is under a High Wind warning until Tuesday afternoon with winds of 60 to 70 mph possible at times, accompanied by snow. Dangerous driving conditions will occur.

Howling wind and heavy snow at times will make traveling a bear, on and off during this period. Whiteout conditions are possible. Drifting snow might be another factor, especially on wide open roads.

Downed tree branches and power lines are possible, too. These could be serious issues as blowing snow may cover them up before they can be addressed. In other words, if you see the weather go downhill...stay home and off the roads.
