Check out this shocking story out of Great Falls, Montana about a sex offender who was released into the community. The offender was convicted of raping a deaf and developmentally disabled 13 year old girl, but was let out by the liberal Montana Supreme Court.

Hats off to the Great Falls Police Department for alerting the community to the danger presented. Apparently this guy is now registered as a transient in Great Falls.

Some of the commenters shared news articles about the sex offender and how the Montana Supreme Court ordered him to receive a new trial back in 2021, and asked if there were any newer stories about the new trial ever taking place. They also commented on how disgusting it was that the Montana Supreme Court would try and force a young disabled girl to have to undergo the trauma of facing this sex offender again.

Here's the info from the Great Falls Police Department (full post below):

TIER 3 SEX OFFENDER NOTIFICATION - Richard Tome has been designated as a tier 3 sex offender. He registered as a transient in Great Falls, with a secondary address on Crane Ave in Stockett. This is a new registration, so it does not show up on the statewide registry yet, that will take several days to update.
A Tier 3 sex offender is a person who has been convicted of a sexual offense and is considered to be a high risk of reoffending, and a threat to public safety.
Tier 3 offenders are required to:
- Register for life
- Update their address with the Department of Justice every 90 days
- Provide law enforcement with a current photograph

For background- this is from the Great Falls Tribune back in 2021Montana Supreme Court overturns Great Falls man’s rape conviction, orders new trial

I am working to get an update on this case and if another trial ever ended up happening. (Although, can you imagine the unnecessary pain this would have caused the victim and her family?)

What is wrong with the Montana Supreme Court? That's a question we talked about a lot here in 2024. It's not just that they are run by Democrat party activists who abuse their positions of power to overturn practically any law they don't like, they are far Left activists who are soft on criminals at nearly every turn.

Here are some of the reactions from the public on the Great Falls Police Department Facebook page. Stephanie Logan nailed it.

Stephanie Logan: So many people asking “how can this happen?!” Not enough people are paying attention to who they are voting for. WE elect our State Supreme Court justices. We have to do better, be more informed, and vet the candidates. If we fail to elect quality judges, the consequences will be dire. And unfortunately for all of us who live in GF, we are on the receiving end of it this time.

Robert Milton: They protect these people more than kids..

Danielle Gilman: Sentenced to life- 5 years ago.Tier 3- likely to reoffend.Transient- won’t be able to find him. Sweet.

Shantal Murphy: It doesn’t make sense that someone who they say is high risk to reoffend is not still in prison. Our Justice system is broken.

Gabrielle Reed: Ah yes someone considered high risk and likely to reoffend, let out.
