Halloween is big business in the United States, with consumers dropping an estimated $11.6 BILLION this year on costumes, candy, and decorations, according to a report from Boston University.

Candy and costumes can certainly be expensive, but one of the priciest parts of the Halloween holiday can be the extravagant decorations that fans install across their homes and yards.

People LOVE Halloween.

Perhaps you have a neighbor that goes "all out" for October 31, or maybe it's you, with a yard full of giant spiders, towering skeletons, spooky headstones, and creepy animatronic ghouls. When my family heads out for Trick-or-Treating, we're always impressed by a handful of homes on our candy-seeking route that must have spent hundreds (or thousands) of dollars on wild Halloween decor.
